Crooked, gapped, or crowded teeth can make you feel self-conscious. They are also harder to clean, increasing your risk of decay.

Invisalign® is a discreet, removable, and comfy alternative to braces that lets you straighten your teeth in 12 to 18 months.

Here's why so many teens and adults are choosing Invisalign treatment at Smile 360™ in Austin, TX...

Comfort, Convenience, and Quick Results Why Invisalign Is the Clear Choice

Removable Aligners

Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed for brushing, flossing, or meals. Throughout treatment, you can continue to enjoy your favorite crunchy foods without worrying about damaging your wires or brackets. Aligners also allow you to brush and floss normally so that you can maintain optimal oral health without braces getting in the way.

Comfortable Materials

The wires and brackets of traditional braces can irritate your lips, tongue, and the insides of your cheeks. Invisalign clear aligner trays are laser-cut to ensure no sharp edges. Each aligner is made using a smooth, BPA-free plastic to minimize irritation.

Shorter Timeline

While patients who choose braces typically wear them for 18 months to four years, Invisalign is designed to straighten your smile in 12 to 18 months. Dr. Vincent Ip uses PROPEL Excelleration™ technology during every case. PROPEL allows Dr. Ip to move the teeth into alignment much quicker. In some cases, it can cut treatment time in half.

Virtually Invisible

Often, teens and adults avoid orthodontics because they simply do not want to wear metal braces. Many patients choose Invisalign because it is incredibly discreet compared to traditional orthodontics. The clear aligner trays used for the Invisalign system allow you to continue your daily routine with confidence.

A Straighter Smile in One Year? PROPEL Makes It Possible

During each regularly scheduled orthodontic appointment, Dr. Ip will treat the jawbone with PROPEL—a simple, three-step approach designed to speed up your orthodontic treatment. First, he will evaluate the treatment area. Then, he will thoroughly clean the site. Next, he will numb the area and create micro-osteoperforations, or tiny pinholes. By gently creating a series of tiny pinholes in the jawbone, our dentist can trigger a natural inflammatory response that accelerates the rate of tooth movement by over 60 percent.

How Invisalign Works Six Steps to a Straighter Smile

Invisalign Treatment Sounds Great But Do I Qualify?

Dr. Ip can examine your smile and determine whether this treatment is right for you during a consultation at our Austin dental office. Generally, aligners can be used to straighten the teeth of patients with a range of alignment issues, including:

Aligners can correct cases where your lower teeth project past your upper teeth.

If your dental arches do not line up correctly, causing overlapping teeth, Dr. Ip can help.

If your upper teeth stick out too far past your lower teeth, you may be a good candidate for Invisalign treatment.

Gapped Teeth

Gaps in your smile can detract from your appearance, but aligners can correct this imperfection.

Open Bite

If your dental arches do not meet properly and leave space, our dentist can improve your bite.

Crowded Teeth

Crowding can make brushing and flossing more difficult, so orthodontic care is crucial in these cases.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

Invisalign costs around $5,000 depending on your case

At Smile 360 in Austin, you can expect the cost of treatment, including your complete set of aligners, to be around $5,000. The cost varies from patient to patient, and insurance often covers at least a portion of the treatment.

We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of a beautiful smile. To minimize out-of-pocket expenses, we offer in-house, zero-percent financing options.

The Smile 360 experience is unlike any other dental experience I have ever had. The Smile 360 team have always been so warm and caring towards me and my family and Dr. Ip is a extremely talented dentist. I used to have no confidence and was extremely ashamed of my smile. Dr Ip was able to fix my teeth and give me so much confidence with less than a year of treatment!! Smile 360 team are amazing and they are truly the best dental office in Austin and maybe even the United States!!!

The staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable, especially my hygienist Justine. One thing they did extremely well is explain exactly what they discovered in their examination. They even showed me all of the X-Rays and any areas of concern. I was referred to Smile 360 by a coworker after a bad experience at a different dentist, and I'm actually excited to visit them again for my next cleaning!

What should I expect throughout Invisalign treatment?

Achieve a Straighter Smile in 12 to 18 Months What to Expect from Start to Finish

Although your timeline will depend on the severity of your case, most adults typically complete their treatment in just 12 months. For many of our Austin patients, this can be significantly faster than traditional braces. In every case, Dr. Ip uses PROPEL Excelleration technology to safely and effectively move the teeth into their desired positions.

Dr. Ip will evaluate your bite and determine whether the treatment is a good option for you. If braces are recommended, we will refer you to a trusted orthodontist.

If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, we will take digital impressions with our CEREC® system. Using specialized software, we will then be able to give you an accurate treatment timeline, tell you how many trays you will need, and provide estimated costs.

All of the information that Dr. Ip gathers will be sent to the Invisalign lab where they manufacture the clear aligners for your treatment plan. Your custom trays will be fabricated over the next two to four weeks

Start Treatment

When your aligners are ready, you can start treatment immediately after picking them up. In order for your treatment plan to be effective, you need to wear your trays 20 to 22 hours every day. Every two weeks, you will switch into a new set of trays.

Most patients only have to visit our office every six weeks or so. During these appointments, Dr. Ip will monitor your progress and apply PROPEL to speed up the process.

Finish Treatment

Most patients are done with treatment after approximately 12 months. In most cases, you can continue to wear your last tray as your retainer to maintain your results
Invisalign allows you to live your life without restrictions.

Invisalign FAQs Answers to Common Questions

Does insurance cover Invisalign aligners?

Many dental insurance plans will cover Invisalign work much like traditional braces. The percentage of coverage will depend on your insurance provider. Our team can check with your provider directly for more information. Keep in mind that orthodontics is sometimes covered by your health insurance rather than your dental plan.

What happens if I don't wear my aligners for 20-22 hours a day?

If you don't wear your Invisalign aligners for at least 20 hours a day, it can result in delayed results and greater discomfort when putting on the next set of clear aligners. The custom treatment plan assumes patients will wear their aligners as directed.

Can I drink with my Invisalign aligners on?

You can drink cold or cool water while wearing your Invisalign aligners. You should remove your clear aligners when you drink any other kind of beverage. Colored beverages can stain the clear aligners, and sugary beverages increase the risk of tooth decay. Warm and hot beverages may warp your Invisalign aligners, reducing their effectiveness.

Could my teeth move back after Invisalign treatment?

Yes. Much like braces, your teeth can shift out of position without the use of a retainer. Once your Invisalign work is completed, the team at our practice can create a retainer that will help maintain the final results of treatment. In other cases, you will simply wear your final set of aligners at night.

Do Invisalign aligners make your teeth yellow?

No, Invisalign aligners will not turn your teeth yellow. However, residue from foods that get on your teeth can cause tooth discoloration and may stain the clear aligner. The same is true with smoking and the use of tobacco products during treatment. It's important to remove your Invisalign aligners when eating or drinking, practice good oral hygiene, and keep your clear aligners clean.
